Salaar Part 2 Shouryanga Parvam update: Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran to start shooting in June

Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam is a Telugu high-voltage action drama film written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films. The film stars Prabhas in the titular role, along with Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu. The music was composed by Ravi Basrur while the cinematography was done by Bhuvan Gowda and it is edited by Ujwal Kulkarni and Shashank. The film is produced by Vijay Kiragandur under Hombale Films banner. Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parva is a sequel to blockbuster movie Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire.

Release Date Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam movie will release in theaters in 2025

After a long wait and a few delays, Prabhas‘ Salaar hit the theaters on Friday, December 22, 2023. The film has received positive reviews from the audience, calling it the actor’s comeback. While the movie ends with a cliffhanger, leaving room for a sequel, its release date has become a hot discussion among viewers. Reportedly, the movie’s second part has been titled Salaar Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam.

As it is, all eyes are now on Salaar Part 2. Fans have been discussing the 30-minute-long climax of the first instalment on social media. Many also wonder how long director Prashanth Neel would take to make the sequel. However, it seems that fans will have to wait as the director might take two years to make the movie.

On the other hand, in an interview with India Today, Salaar’s producer, Vijay Kiragandur, confirmed that the filming of Salaar Part 2 will commence next year. The producer said, “The script for Salaar Part 2 is locked. If you see Salaar Part 1 you would notice that it’s not complete, obviously. The story will come a full circle only after you watch Part 2. So, the story is locked.”

Kiragandur further revealed that Prashanth Neel is planning on taking a break for a few months and then starting filming. He said, “The team for Salaar is separate, so once the film releases on December 22, the director [Prashanth Neel] will take a break for a couple of months and then start the shooting of Salaar Part 2 next year.”

‘Salaar’ also features Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan, amongst others, in pivotal roles. There were rumours of Yash making a cameo appearance in the film. But, producer Vijay has quashed the rumours and said that there is no link between ‘KGF’ and ‘Salaar’.

‘Salaar’ is releasing alongside ‘Dunki’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. The Rajkumar Hirani directorial venture will hit theatres on December 21.

Starting with a bang :-

The journey of Salaar 2 is expected to start in Chennai and Hyderabad. “Prabhas along with Prithviraj will start shooting for the film in the second half of June. The first schedule of the film will be 15 days long. They are shooting intense action sequences first. They will be shot in Chennai as well as the film city in Hyderabad,” says the source, adding, “Prashanth is planning to go all out with the second part of the film.”

It is believed that Salaar 2 will explore the conflict and tension between Prabhas and Prithviraj’s characters. “The second part of the film will also come packed with a lot of action, emotions and drama,” says the source.
